Credential Level: 6

Background in childcare:  I have always worked in childcare in some capacity, either through being a nanny or working in a child care center.  I also knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher.  The decision to pursue a degree  in education was an easy one!  After receiving my degree and doing a short stent in the public school system I stumbled upon an ad for a Kindergarten teacher at PPLC.  I taught this program for three years and also assumed the role of Assistant Director after my first year at the center.  When Maryland went to full day Kindergarten, we transitioned the program to our current Transitional Pre-K.  In 2008 I decided to step out on my  own in the field of ECE Administration and took a position at the Goddard School as  a Director.  During my time in this positon I was able to help lead the center to achieving MSDE Accreditation and started a family of my own.  After four years I sought an opportunity to start a center from the ground up working with a company called Bright Horizons Family Solutions.  I spent two years developing and establishing the center before finally returning to PPLC as the Educational Director.
