The Blossoming Butterflies - 12 months to 24 months

Our Blossoming Butterflies room is for toddlers approximately 12-24 months of age.  At this age, we continue to provide families with the daily reports and developmental guidelines for their child every three months.  The children at this age love to explore their environment and are busy investigating their surroundings.  The room is open for discovery and the teachers are actively engaged in the daily fun!  Each day we will focus on developing important life-skills each child will need throughout their entire early childhood and beyond.  These are very important times for children to begin developing physically, socially and emotionally, as well as academically.  We will foster each child’s language development, art skills, musical awareness, fine and gross motor skills, sensory exploration, and so much more through developmentally appropriate activities.

Whether they are perfecting their walking, learning to use utensils, stacking cups, or rowing in our “boat”, our butterflies certainly blossom during this year.  We see so much physical growth and can hear the changes as well!  Their receptive language progresses from pointing or shaking their heads with the answer to a question to following a simple direction and beginning to express their language with words.

We also see more independence taking place during this year.  They are beginning to wash their hands without assistance, they pick up their toys and remember where they go, they know which book they want to read (again), and may even begin the early stages of potty training.  This is a wonderful time for learning and growing; a time to develop the life-long love of learning!

Tuition / $400 a week.  No half day programs for this age group.
